Some scraps of cloth, rusty buttons, a belt buckle and a handful of bones were all that were left of a young soldier who died at the Battle of Antietam, Sept. 17, 1862. The victim of the bloodiest day of the Civil War wasn't missing, he was forgotten. This is his story.
